As of July 1, holders of Riga resident’s card will be granted 20% discount in parking lots managed by “Rīgas satiksme” in tariff zones B, C and D, parking services for electric cars will be free of charge
As of July 1 holders of Riga resident’s card paying for services of parking lots managed by “Rīgas satiksme” in tariff zones B, C and D will be granted a 20% discount, parking services for electric cars will be free of charge and new parking lots will be opened in Maskavas Street and Turgeņeva Street near Spīķeri warehouses.
As of July 1, it will be possible to park electric cars, which have special registration plates, free of charge at parking lots operated by “Rīgas satiksme”, except the underground parking at K.Valdemāra Street 5a. The new rule applies to all tariff zones, and there will be no parking time limits.
Parking lots located between 13th January Street and Turgeņeva Street will be included in zone B. On July 1 “Rīgas satiksme” parking lots will be also opened in Maskavas Street and Turgeņeva Street near Spīķeri warehouses, where the tariff of zone B will be applied.
As of July 1 the e-wallet function of non-personalized e-tickets will be blocked. Car drivers who used this function to pay for parking services are invited to visit one “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centres to get back 100% of money from their e-wallets. There will be also changes in the procedure of issuing “Resident’s card”, namely, if there is no pay parking lot in the street section where the resident’s place of residence is located, the resident’s card will be issued for another parking lot located in the same street section or in the nearest street section.
